It is with sadness that the families of the late Eric William Gilbert announce his passing on August 19, 2011 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 75. Eric is predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Elsie Gilbert; brother, Gordon. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Frances; sons, Tony (Lori) of St. John’s, NL, Barry of Victoria, BC, and Jarvis (Megan) of St. John’s NL; daughters, Beverly of Greenwood, NS, Gloria (Jerry) Slade of Come by Chance, NL, Shelly (Warrick) Seaward of Sunnyside, NL, and Esther (Byron) Boyde of Fort McMurray, NL; sisters, Edith (Clayton) Reid, Ethel (Gordon) Reid, and Margaret (Tom) Hunter; brothers, Hurbert (Pearl); 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. The visitation took place Sunday, August-21-2011 at 7-9 pm and Monday August 22, at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from The Pentecostal Church, Badger, NL. The funeral Service took place Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 2 pm from The Full Gospel Tabernacle, Badger, NL Donations in his memory may be made to The Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation. Pallbearers were Tony Gilbert, Barry Gilbert, Jarvis Gilbert, Ed Roberts, Jessie Oram and Dave White.
