August 12, 1924 - August 23, 2011. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center, surrounded by her loving family, 11 days after celebrating her 87th birthday. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Predeceased by her husband Joseph Gosse, son David Gosse, brothers Jim and Harry Guest, mother Elsie Guest (Newman) and father William Guest. Leaving behind her children: Jean (Jack McGrath), Roy, Randy, Sharon, Edward (Vicki), Rosalind (Perry Gulliver), Derrick and daughter-in-law Lillian Gosse; brothers: Ron (Marg), Les (Meta); sister Nada Murphy; grandchildren: Catherine, Tommy, Darlene, Jean, Jack, George, Jim, Tammy, Leona, Wavey, Bonnie, Wanda, Derrick, Jason, Joey, Rosalind, Lynn, Linda, Lisa, Karla, Joshua and 26 great-grandchildren; cousin and lifelong friend Joan Griffiths; also many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; loving furry friend Cujo. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 7-9 pm Wednesday and from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm Thursday, then from 10 am-12 noon Friday. Funeral service to be held from The Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Craigmillar Avenue on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
