It is with sadness that the families of the late Michael J. Murphy announce his passing at his residence on Saturday, September 3, 2011 aged 58. He is predeceased by his parents, Mike and Pearl Murphy; sister, Cynthia. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Kelly Wall; daughters, Melissa West (Michael),and April Folkes (Ronnie); son, Michael (Jennifer); step daughter, Tasha (Terry) Coates; step sons, Jason King (Janesta), Shawn Wall; nine grand-children, Charlotte, Carolyn, Carly, Sara, Morgan, Dexter, Ryder, Rylie, Gregory; sisters, Beverley Oldford (Roy), Patricia Howse (Eric), Marie Smith (Craig), Charlotte Carey (Glenn); as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The visitation took place on Sun., September 4, 2011, from 7-9 and on Mon., September 5, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service took place on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:30 am from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Parish, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, with Father William Houlahan officiating. The interment was at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
