It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret MacFarland, 84, in St. Catharines, Ont., on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009.
Formerly of Edwardsville, C.B., she was the daughter of the late Hadley and Margaret Rudderham.
She had lived in St. Catharines for over 40 years. She retired from Abitibi Paper Company in 1992. She always enjoyed her visits home in Cape Breton, also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Karen Crozier, Toronto; grandson, Michael (Amor) Legall, St. Catharines; brothers, Carl, Edwardsville, Malcolm (Agnes), Salisbury, N.B.; sisters, Belle Gray, St. Catharines, Mildred, Westmount, Marie (Jackie) Smith, North River; also many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Earl Crozier (1954), bother, Thomas and sister, Alma MacIvor.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of George Dart Funeral Home, St. Catharines. A memorial service was held in her honour on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in St. Catharines.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
