It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bruce Martin announce his passing on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Bonne Bay Hospital in Norris Point at the age of 58 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Irene Martin, Woody Point; daughter Wendy Martin (Basil Walsh and daughter Marissa ), Beaver Bank, NS; daughter Terri (David) Hann, Deer Lake; grandchildren: Brianna and Mason Hann; parents Mildred and Fred Martin, Woody Point; mother-in-law Eulah Howell, Norris Point; sisters: Brenda Martin, Steady Brook, Lorraine (Thomas) Kearney, Frederiction, NB, Ann Martin (Randy Trask), Gander, Sandra (Curtis) Decker, Brampton, ON and Glenda (Sidney) Barnes, Cambridge, ON; sisters-in-law: Brada (George) Tucker, Norris Point, Daphne (Boyd) Wentzell, Daniels Harbour, Denise (Todd) Young, Woody Point, Charlene (Shawn) Shears, Rocky Harbour and Cindy (Leon) Payne, Quispamsis, NB; brothers-in-law: Curtis (Irene) Howell, Norris Point and Randy (Frances) Howell, Corner Brook; 23 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends from near and far. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Chesley Howell, grandmothers and grandfathers, aunts and uncles and many friends. Friends may visit The Church of the Epiphany in Woody Point on Tuesday and Wednesday where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 15 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Charlene Laing officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
