It is with great sadness that the family of the late JOHN T. MURPHY of Rushoon announces his passing at his home in Rushoon on Friday September 9, 2011 at the age of 80. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Wife Laura of 51 years; Sons Roy Barron (Beth) of Rushoon, Frank Murphy (Diane) of Boat Harbour, Ken Murphy of St. John’s, and Raymond Murphy of Rushoon; Daughters Anne King (David) of Marystown, Rose Murphy (Merrick) of Grand Beach, Alice Murphy of Rushoon, Madonna Murphy (Greg) of Winterland, Deloris Wagg (Jamie) of Medicine Hat, AB., Tina Murphy of Marystown, and Martha Murphy (Dan) of Jacques Fontaine; 13 Grandchildren; 2 Great-Grandchildren; plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by Parents Archibald & Martha Murphy, Son Kevin, Grandson Reginald Lake and Sisters Kathleen Brown and Susie McClean.
Funeral Mass took place on Tuesday September 13, 2011 at 10:30am from Christ The King RC Church in Rushoon. Interment followed at Christ The King RC Cemetery in Rushoon. In John’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or flowers gratefully accepted.
