It is with sadness that the families of the late Augustus Job Wells announce his passing on October 3, 2011 at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre, aged 95. Augustus is predeceased by his wife, Jessie; parents, William and Hettie Wells; and sister, Evelyn Weir. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children, Viva (Fred) Adams of Northern Arm, NL, Hazel (George) Dawe of South Brook, Halls Bay, NL, Bill (Gail) Wells of Northern Arm, NL, and Roy (Faye) Wells of Labrador City, NL; 12 grand-children; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Brown of Alberta; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The visitation took place Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Jubilee Pentecostal Temple, Botwood, NL. The funeral service took place Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 2 pm from The Jubilee Pentecostal Tabernacle, Botwood, NL. Donation in his memory may be made to The Village of Hope and\or The Gideon Society. Pallbearers were Bill Wells, Roy Wells, Fred Adams, George Dawe, Brian Dawe, Kirk Wells, Shana Strickland, and Glenn Adams.
