The death occurred of Ernest Joseph Gallant on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, in the Palliative Care Unit at the Prince Edward Home in Charlottetown, at the age of 48. Formerly of Egmont Bay he was the son of the Late Andrew J. Gallant and late Lucina, nee Cormier. He is survived by two brothers, Yvon of Egmont Bay and Michel of Fort McMurray, and by numerous aunts and uncles. There will be a funeral service Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Evangeline Funeral Co-op Home in Urbainville. Interment at the St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations made to Andrea Mitchell Gallant’s College Fund would be appreciated.
