Paul Howard Cox - 89, formerly of Port Williams, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in the Wolfville Nursing Home. Born in Woodside, Kings County, he was a son of the late Joseph and Charlotte (Jackson) Cox. In his younger years, he drove a truck and worked on various farms in the area. He was later employed with Hamilton City Transport for 25 years, retiring back to Nova Scotia. In retirement, he took on various carpentry jobs and enjoyed fishing and his little dogs. He is survived by Pauline Joyce, Port Williams; five sisters, Dorothea Hiltz, Kingston; Ruth Bigelow, Wolfville; Greta Benjamin, Arlington; Phyllis Reade, Wolfville; Joyce Parker, Scott’s Bay Road; two brothers, Victor (Joan) Cox, Sheffield Mills; Kenneth (Sharon) Cox, Kingston; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his companion, Rita Neath; a sister, Lucy MacKeighan; two brothers, Robert “Bud” and Bernard. There was no visitation, by request. A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 in the Hillaton Cemetery, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Lung Association or the Wolfville Nursing Home.
