Stanley Gordon Stewart
Oct 29, 1925 – Nov 13, 2011
Sadly Stanley Gordon Stewart joined his predeceased loved ones with his daughter and caring neighbour at his side.
Predeceased by his wife Vivian, daughter Joanne and Son Robert. Survived and loved by his daughter Kay, son in-laws Bob and Ken, granddaughters Dayyna, Kendra, and Krista, Great grandchildren, Samantha, Trenton, Kamryn and Preston as well as nieces, nephews and friends
Dad joined the British Merchant Navy (Canada wouldn’t believe the little white lie about age, England did) and served in the Second World War.
He returned home safely and pursued a career in the logging industry working camps in the Queen Charlottes and the west coast of Vancouver Island. He retired from that career as Superintendant and went on to purchase, build up and successfully run a ranch on Iron Mountain; he named the KJR after his 3 children.
Dad was a family man well liked and known for his generosity and kind heart. He was an extremely hard worker and a man of his word. We are so fortunate to have his incredible woodworking projects as a great reminder of a hobby he loved. He will leave a huge hole in our lives and will be terribly missed.
