MUISE, John William – 103, of Hubbard’s Point, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on November 11, 2011, at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born October 25 1908, in Rocko Point Yarmouth Co, N.S, he was a son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Brown) Muise. John was a Second World War Veteran and served overseas with the 3rd Division, 3rd Regiment and 3rd anti tank. He lived and worked in Toronto for 50 years as a baker. He is survived by caregivers, Leslie and Pauline Muise; and nieces and nephews. John is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Sunday November 13 from 7-9 p.m with a Legion Service at 7:30 p.m and prayers followed at 8 p.m from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was held Monday, November 14 at 10 a.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Father John MacPherson officiated. Interment followed in Saint Anne du Ruisseau Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in John’s memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 155 Wedgeport.
