MUISE, John William – 103, of Hubbard’s Point, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on November 11, 2011, at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born October 25 1908, in Rocko Point Yarmouth Co, N.S, he was a son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Brown) Muise. John was a Second World War Veteran and served overseas with the 3rd Division, 3rd Regiment and 3rd anti tank. He lived and worked in Toronto for 50 years as a baker. He is survived by caregivers, Leslie and Pauline Muise; and nieces and nephews. John is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Sunday November 13 from 7-9 p.m with a Legion Service at 7:30 p.m and prayers followed at 8 p.m from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was held Monday, November 14 at 10 a.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Father John MacPherson officiated. Interment followed in Saint Anne du Ruisseau Parish Cemetery.
