Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Friday, November 18, 2011, of Peter Sharkey of Charlottetown, age 53 years.
Beloved husband of Mary Theresa (nee Doyle) and loving father of Kyle, Nick (Jodi) and Katie and proud Grampy of Kinley. Peter is the brother of Tom (Cathy) of Truro, N.S., Joe (Carol), Geri (Allan MacDonald), Ray (Faye), Paul (Geraldine), Priscilla (Bob Spurgeon) of New Glasgow, N.S., Jimmy (Wendy) and Mike Cheverie (Teri). He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Colleen Doyle and numerous nieces and nephews.
Peter was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Catherine Sharkey and his father-in-law, Peter Doyle.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. No visitation by personal request. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the Prince Edward Home would be appreciated.
