Sarah Jane (Miller) Stone
STONE, Sarah Jane (Miller), b. January 19, 1926, of Old Bonaventure and most recently of Glovertown, passed peacefully away on Friday, December 2, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Predeceased by husband Robert Andrew (1977), good friend Clarence Hookey (2008) and sister Amy Cooper (2006). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Gilbert (Susan) of Glovertown, daughter Bessie (Brendan) Doyle of Bay de Verde, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, the Hookey families and many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Monday, December 5 at St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church, New Bonaventure. Funeral service from New Bonaventure Anglican Church on Tuesday, December 6 at 11 am. Inurnment to follow at St. Luke’s Anglican Cemetery, Old Bonaventure. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Luke’s Anglican Cemetery Fund.
