Lawrence Michael McCarthy, 75, of Kelly Road Miramichi, passed away on Tuesday November 29th, 2011 at the Mount St Joseph Nursing Home.
Lawrence was born in Nowlanville the son of the late Joseph McCarthy and Annie Murphy. Lawrence retired from District #16 where he was a bus driver. He is survived by his wife Martina (Nowlan) McCarthy, daughter, Margaret McCarthy at home, sisters: Kathleen Richard of Loggieville, Alice McCarthy of Loggieville, Mary Williamson of Bathurst and several nieces and nephews. Lawrence is predeceased by his parents, brother: John, brother-in-law Joseph R. Richard, Brother-in-law Douglas Williamson.
Lawrence is resting at Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi on Wednesday Nov 30, 2011 from 7-9pm and on Thursday December 1, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday December 2, 2011 at 11am from St Michael’s Basilica, Miramichi with Fr John Fraser Celebrant. Con-celebrants, Fr. Allison Mahoney, Fr Dan Bastrashe, Fr Vincent Donovan, Fr Jacques Landry. Active pallbearers Laura Poirier, Margaret Daminato, John Williamson, Nicholas Reynolds, Reginald King, Shamus King.
