Eileen (Harnish) MacRae, 84 of Sydney Forks and Halifax passed away Dec. 5, 2011 at 4th floor, Northwood Centre, Halifax.
Born in St. Peter’s, she was a daughter of the late Kitchener and Ida Harnish.
Survived by her husband of 64 years, Alex W. MacRae; daughters, Linda, Joyce (Russ); son, Donald H.; sisters, Elsie (Jack), Ronola, Shirley (Cliff), Bessie (Walter), Mary (Al), Carolyn (Frank), Sandra and Lynn (Dennis); brothers, Basil, William (Donna), Robert (Rosena); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother, Earl; sister, Rebecca ‘Becky’ and her brother-in-law, Leo Stone.
Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held at Northwood Centre, Halifax to be announced at a later date. An interment service and burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen’s memory may be made to Bide Awhile Animal Shelter or Northwood Foundation.
