GODIN, JOSEPH ALVARY - 1948-2011 - Joseph Alvary Godin, 63 of Sainte-Marie de Kent, husband of Geralda Maillet, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital, Moncton on Friday, December 16th, 2011. Born in Tracadie Beach on October 28th, 1948, he was the son of Edgar and Bertha (Brideau) Godin of Neguac. He was a plumber/pipe fitter with the local 213 in Saint-John, NB. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Geralda, his parents, six children; Brenda Godin-Kotsabasakis (Deno), Melda Sutton (Dan), Jeff (Marsha), and John (Tessa) of Saint-John, Kevin (Slyvie) of Pembroke, ON, and Jason of Halifax, and four grandchildren, Josh, Karlie, Brandon and Alexis. He also leaves to mourn his five siblings; Conrad, Johanne Girouard, Jacinthe Richard (Camille) of Saint-John, Yolande Robichaud of Neguac, Odette Pellerin (René) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, and several nephews and nieces.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Tuesday, December 20th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Marie de Kent Church on Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 at 3:30 pm with interment in the parish cemetery. In Joseph Alvary's memory donations can be made to the Friends of the Moncton City Hospital.
