Casimir Meehan
Passed peacefully away following a lengthy illness and in the presence of his loving family, at the Palliative Care Unit, St. John's, on December 21, 2011, Casimir James (Jimmy) Meehan, formerly of Gaskiers, S.M.B. and former Newfoundland Dockyard worker, aged 64 years. Predeceased by parents Michael & Gertrude Meehan, sisters: Mary and Bernadette, sister-in-law Rachael (Joe) St. Croix and brother-in-law Leonard Gibbons. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 44 years, Agnes; two loving daughters: Bernadette (Robert) and Rosalyn; four grandchildren: Amy & Jenna Tiller (their father Paul) and Tyler & Alyssa Curtis (their father Mike), great-granddaughter Dakota Tiller; loving brothers and sisters: Margie (Ed), Marilyn (Wayne), Maureen (Randy), Helen (Cliff), Jeanette (Christopher), Dominic (Rowena) and Danny (Marjorie); two sisters-in-law: Evelyn Gibbons and Marg Bishop (George) and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including special friends: Jerome & Mary Watson and Neil Scott. Resting at Gibbons Funeral Home, St. Marys, on Thursday, December 22, from 7 - 9 p.m. and Friday, December 23, 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 12:30 p.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary’s. Cremation to follow.
