HALE, Sarah Jean – Passed away, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family and close friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the age of 54 after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Colin Hale for 32 years. Cherished mother of Stephen Hale (Hilary) and Krystal Hale. Proud nana of Alexis and Jackson. Dear sister of Mark Hersey and Ellen Gallant. Sadly missed by step-mother Paulette Hersey, brother-in-law Charles Hale (Nancy), sisters-in-law Pat Chaisson and Claudia Hale (Roger). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Mildred Grant and Jack Hersey, mother and father-in-law Doris and Hughie Hale and brother-in-law Father Hugh Hale. She was employed with CIBC for 32 years. Sarah lived every moment for the love and admiration of her grandchildren. Father Hugh Gibson will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at the Parish Community of St. Kevin, 303 Niagara Street, Welland on Saturday, December 31st at 10:00 a.m. Rite of Committal will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery on Tuesday, January 3rd at 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital – Oncology Department would be appreciated by the family.
