Napolean Godin

GODIN, NAPOLEON J. – Napoleon Joseph Godin of Saint John passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Tracadie, New Brunswick, he was a son of the late Jacques and Helen (Basque) Godin. Napoleon enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, and was very talented at fixing things, often reviving appliances and clocks that others thought were broken for good. He also was a talented fiddle player. Napoleon is survived by a son, Earl Godin (Annabelle) of Alberta; a granddaughter, Helen; the mother of his son, Evangeline Godin of Neguac; his siblings, Adeline Johnson of Saint John, Edgar Godin (Bertha) of Neguac, Irene Saulnier of Montreal, Theresa Collrin (George) of Saint John, George Godin of Montreal, Donat Godin (Evelyn) of Montreal, and Evelyn Cook (Coby) of Saint John; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Napoleon was predeceased by a brother, Isaac.
In keeping with Napoleon’s wishes, all funeral services will be private. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
