McCREADY, ARTHUR - Arthur McCready, age 102, of Johnson's Mills, passed away peacefully at the Drew Nursing Home on Sunday, January 15, 2012. Born in New York, USA, he was a son of the late Charles and Marie (Engelhart) McCready. Arthur was a former employee with Canadian Car in Amherst and Enamel & Heating in Sackville with 25 years service. He was also a lifelong farmer. He is survived by three sons, Arthur (Joyce), Cap Pele, Richard (Trudy), Oshawa and Wallace (Helen), Moncton; two daughters, Elizabeth (Walter) Bourque, Antigonish, Particia Jones, Johnson's Mills; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Bertha in 2002, son-in-law Allan Jones, brother, Charles and sister Ruth.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, Sackville (70 Bridge St.), where visitation will take place on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Jones Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2 pm. Cremation will take place following the funeral service and burial will be held in the Dorchester Cemetery in the spring.
