Norma Ross

ROSS, NORMA - Norma Marie Ross of Woodstock passed away at Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at the age of 81. Born at Woodstock, she was the daughter of the late C. Edward and Eva Mae (Lewis) Chase. Norma is survived by a son, James Ross of Edmonton, AB; a daughter, Elizabeth Argus (Martin) of North Vancouver, BC; sisters Ruth Furrow of Hartin Settlement, NB; Barbara Robichaud (Ron) of Sunnyside Beach,NB; Frances Briggs (Lewis) of Meductic, NB; and Susan McIntosh (Don)of Fredericton, NB; brothers Douglas Chase (Bernice) of Ottawa, ON, George Chase (Gloria) of Meductic, NB; and Ralph Chase (Rhona) of Fredericton, NB; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Norma was predeceased by brothers Charles and Ronald Chase. After High School, she taught school for two years at Charleston and Wicklow, she served ten years in the Air Force as a meterorological observer, stationed in several places, including Germany, St. Hubert, QC. Norma lived in Winnipeg for ten years and Ottawa for twenty three years. She retired to Woodstock in 2002.
Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB, with visiting on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 pm from Marne Baptist Church. Pastor Trevor Savage will be officiating, with interment in the Marne Cemetery, at a later date.
