Anne Veronica (nee WOLF) Our grief is overwhelming as we announce the death of our dear Mother, Grandmother, and Sister, Anne. Born in Trail, B.C. to Joseph and Veronica Wolf March 24, 1925. Passed away peacefully with family at her side at Evergreen Baptist Care Home in White Rock, B.C. on October 4, 2006, after a valiant struggle with Alzheimer's. Anne will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by children Joanne Jenkins of White Rock, B.C. (grandchildren Emily and Ben), Brenda Logelin of Quesnel, B.C., and Patrick Logelin (Gayle; grandchildren Veronica and Joey) of North Vancouver. Anne also leaves to mourn her sisters Ina Cristofoli of Trail, B.C., Emma Grubisic of Lacey, WA, sisters-in-law Edna Wolfe of Stettler, AB and Cecile Wolfe of Trail, B.C. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1987; father, Joseph, in 1958; and mother, Veronica, in 1994. Also predeceased by brothers Carl, Joseph, Eddie, Mike, and Jim; sisters-in-law Jacqueline and Florence, and brother-in-law Matt Grubisic. Anne graduated from J. Lloyd Crowe in Trail, B.C. She won a full scholarship to Queen's University in Kingston, ON. After graduation, she attended Normal School in Vancouver where she received her teaching certification. Then she returned home to teach in Trail. During her first years teaching in Trail, she met her husband Joseph through the Catholic Youth Organization to which they both belonged. They were married at St. Anthony's Church in Trail on July 14, 1949. They soon moved to Kinnaird and Dad built them a home a few doors away from her Mom and Dad, and brother Mike and wife Florence, all of whom had recently moved from Trail. Anne's loves were English and Math and she had a long career teaching in Trail, Castlegar, Penticton and North Kamloops. She cared so much for all the students who passed through her doors, and always went the extra mile to ensure their success. 0002000004F10000079E4EB,Mom was always the life of the party, had a great wit and sense of humour, and gave much to her many friends. But family mattered most of all to her, and we all-children, parents, brothers and sisters knew we could always depend on her love and care. We gratefully thank the nurses and caregivers on D3 at Evergreen Baptist for their loving care of "Annie" over the last 5 years. We could not have borne the grief of her illness without your support and affection. Thank you also to Helen from Good Shepherd Church who visited Mom on a weekly basis and to Tessa and Klaus Kristensen for their early care of Mom. Mom was devoted to her faith. The family would appreciate prayers said and Masses offered in her name (Masses can be arranged by anyone through the priest at your local Catholic Church). In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted in Anne's name to: Alzheimer's Society of B.C., #102 - 15240 Thrift Avenue, White Rock, B.C. V4B 2L1, the building fund for Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Sorrento, B.C., or a charity of your choice. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 13 followed by a Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 14 at 3:00 PM. Both will be held at St. Mary's Church on the Trans Canada Highway in Sorrento, B.C.
