MELANSON, CELESTE - 1916 – 2012 - Celeste Melanson, 95, of Villa du Repos, and formerly of Halls Street, Moncton, NB passed away on Sunday, February 5th, 2012, at her residence. Born in Port Elgin, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Mary (née: Leger) LeBlanc. Mrs. Melanson was a former member of Club d’Age d’Or de l’Assomption and Saint Bernard’s parish. She is survived by one daughter, Marcia (Rob) McPhee of Moncton; one son, Larry (Dona) Melanson of Scoudouc; five sisters: Lucy Melanson and Pam Melanson, both of Moncton, Lorraine Atkinson of Sackville, Loretta Woodward of Florida and Shirley Groleau of Montreal, QC; one brother, Robert (Lorraine) LeBlanc of Moncton; four grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 1998; one sister, Vicky and also by two brothers: Charles and Laurie.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm ONLY. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB, on Thursday, February 9th, 2012 at 4 pm. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
