Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, Mrs. Myrtle Quann, age 80 years of Conne River. Leaving to mourn her loving family: sons, Roy (Helen), Patrick (Delores), William (Cora) and Johnny, all at Conne River; daughters, Sheila Collier (Adonis) at Fort MacMurray, AB, Maggie Organ (Tom), Glenda Drew (Damien) and Trina Crant (Gerard), all at Conne River; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers, Pius John, Ron (Ida), all at Conne River, Edward at Toronto, Louis (Loretta) at Conne River, Howard John and Mike (Melita), all at St. Alban’s; sisters, Catherine Benoit (Cass) at Conne River and Eileen Willcott (George) at St. Alban’s plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, John Quann; son, Joby; grand daughter, Melissa Organ; brothers, Don, Alex, Gordon and Bill.
Funeral service was held on Monday, February 13, 2012, at 11:00 am from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Conne River with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Conne River.
