“We may cry because he is gone but we have to smile when we remember him and his wonderful laugh and his great music. He represented everything that was right and just in God's name. To know Bishop Faber was to love him.”
“Memories of Bishop Faber are many.I knew him before he became the Bishop as just Faber..He travelled each week to St. Peters Bay to attend High School and stayed at my Grandparents house.Josephine and Daniel (DJ)Mullin, each evening was spent both playing the fiddle and discussing whatever and preparing for school the next day.My sympathy's go out to all the family.RIP you have left an impact on us all..”
“I have great memories of Bishop MacDonald when he would celebrate mass at our church in Grand Falls,Nl. As a teen I remember when he celebrated our Confirmation and I had a chance to speak with him. I recall him speaking to me like a young lady not just a kid in the church and it was very nice. I am sure he has earned and will enjoy a special place in heaven and will be fondly remembered by the many lives he touched over the years.
Sincerely Yvonne Sullivan(nee Murray)”

“To Father Faber's Family:
In 1968, my mother and I went on a 3 week bus tour from London to Moscow and back across Europe. As a nineteen year old, I was the youngest on the bus, Father Faber was the next youngest. We often sat together on the bus talking about life, education, and what we observed from Russian farmers cutting wheat with scythes to passing miles of tanks on the road to Czechoslovakia. We glimpsed history, ate ice cream in the hot Moscow summer and spurred on by Father Faber, sang our way across continents. Father Faber invited by bother and I to visit him in Charlottetown. He was a wonderful host and such a thoughtful friend that he contained himself as he witnessed me flaying at a golf ball that ended up on an entirely different course. It is Father Faber's humanity and curiosity that I vividly recall and how my life was enriched by knowing him.
With sincerest sympathy,
Maria Cioni

“To the family of Father Faber MacDonald,
I did not know Father Faber nor do I know his family, but he was a friend (and St. Dunstan's classmate, if I recall correctly) of my late father, Louis McGinn (who died in 2008). Dad always spoke warmly and fondly of Father Faber and was proud of his many accomplishments. May he rest in peace.
Kind regards,
