On February 17, 2012 Wilfred L. Simon passed away peacefully at Merritt hospital, at the age of 78. He was born at home near Bengough Sasakatchewan on February 8,1934. His family moved to BC that same year and Wilf spent the rest of his life in British Columbia. He enjoyed playing ball, pitching horse shoes, bowling, but dancing and music were one of his favourite past times. Wilf loved to fish and he spent many hours fishing and camping with his family. Before his retirement Wilf drove truck for Arrow Transportation for over 20 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Sue and his daughters Shelley (John), Deneen (Jake), daughter-in-law Sheree and his sons Kevin (Linda) Ralph, Lane (Val), Lee, Shane (Kim), and Chad (Tammy) He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, Roderick, Derek, Christa, CJ, Colby, Jason, Karissa, Chantel, Travis, Larissa, Katie, Tyler, Jayden, and Ryan, and two greatgrandsons Ryan and Nicholas, his two brotheres Lawrence (Bonnie), Floyd (Sandra), and his sister Kathleen and many, many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Alta and Elizabeth Simon, his brothers, Fred, Lance, and Neil and two sisters Lily and Caroline.

A celebration of life will be held on July 19, 2012 at North Star Lake near Jaffray, B.C.
