GREENE, Stella Mary (Pope)– Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Agnes Pratt retirement home, St. John’s (formerly of Fogo) on Wednesday, February 23, 2012, age 86. Predeceased by her husband Arthur (1990); brothers: Harold (2009) and William (2011); parents: Walter and Beatrice. Left to mourn are her children: Calvin (Doreen), Arnold (Marjorie), Bob (Phyllis), Linda (Woodrow Green), John (Genevieve), Sandra (David Newbury); fifteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; her sisters: Leora (Frank Mahaney) and Yvonne (Tom Osmond); sister-in-law, Shirley Greene. Stella was an active member of the Canadian Red Cross Society along with the LOBA and ACW. Stella will be missed by all of those that loved her (including her family, relatives and many friends). Resting and visitation to take place at the Fogo Island Funeral Home. Funeral will be held on Monday, February 27, at the St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Fogo.
