Muriel Louise MacLean, River Denys, formerly of Marble Hill, Port Hood, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012, in Highland Crest Home, Antigonish.
Born in Port Hood, Inverness Co. on September 30, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Hadley and Esther (Bell) Watts.
She was a member of St. Dionysius Parish, River Denys.
Surviving are her daughters, Cathy (Pat) O’Connor, Crapaud, P.E.I., Effie (Chris) Crake, Toronto; sons, Ernie (Mary), River Denys, Raymond, Margaree, Roy, (Dianne), Ont; brother, Earl (Sadie) Watts, Marble Hill; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Amanda and Taylor.
She was predeceased by her husband, Allan John; son, Donnie; brothers, Walter and Ray; sisters, Ethel and Hadeline.
Visitation will be held 3-9 p.m. Sunday, March 4, in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday from St. Margarets Roman Catholic Church, West Bay Road, with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial will be in St. Dionysius Parish Cemetery, River Denys at a later date.
