Lieu de décès : SYDNEY, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family announce the peaceful passing of Ethel Clements on March 15, 2012, at the Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Blanche (James) Mugford. She was the last surviving member of her family.
She was a strong-willed and caring mom who devoted her life to taking care of her family. She was very generous and had a soft heart for those less fortunate. She was a spotless homemaker and a great cook and baker.
While living on Bay Street in Glace Bay, mom enjoyed a cigarette, cup of coffee or tea with her special neighbours. She was a smart dresser, loved to write letters to her family away, and had great penmanship. Ethel was a wise woman who was always there to give advice. She loved a good book, could often be found playing her favourite game of cards (scat) and was smart and quick-witted up until the time of her passing.
Mom enjoyed her travels with her son and daughter-in-law to places such as Florida, the Maritimes and her day and overnight trips around Cape Breton Island, especially Ingonish and Cheticamp.
Ethel is survived by her son, Edison (Margaret) Clements; daughters, Carol Anne Siepierski and Diane MacLean; grandchildren, David (Cori) MacLean, Lynn (Bobby) Hooper, Paula (Shane) Condon and Aaron Siepierski. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Brianna, Brandon, Stella, Maria and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews. She loved them all and will be truly missed.
Besides her parents, Ethel was predeceased by her sisters, Lillian, Beaulah, Cora, Mildred, Viola, Elsie and brothers, Edgar, Bram, Hedley and Roy.
Special thanks to the staff at Harbourstone for the excellent care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Glace Bay at a later date.
Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethel’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Canadian Blood Services.
