Robert Irvine

85 years - On April 1, 2012, surrounded by his family, Bob went home to God to join family and friends since passed.
A veteran of WWII, he served in both the Fleet Air Arm and the Merchant Navy.
Born in Liverpool, England, he brought his wife Kay and their children, Robert and Elizabeth, to Canada in 1966. Following the death of Kay, he met his beloved Betty whom he adored. Together, until Betty's passing in 1993, they attended Olivet Baptist Church in Sarnia and then Wyoming Baptist Church, where they fostered many friends. Two years ago he moved to Dorchester, Ontario, to be closer to family where he attended First Baptist Church in Ingersoll.
He is survived by Robert (Selkirk, ON) and Linda (St. Marys, ON), Elizabeth & Horst (Dorchester, ON), Bill (Edmonton, AB), Susan (London, ON) and Chuck (Charlottetown, PEI); grandchildren Karen, Kevin, Jocelyn & Kevin, Laura & Tyler, Caitlin & Donovan, Clint, Devon, Eric and great-grandchildren Kelsi, Garrett, Ava, Carter, Jack, Elizabeth, Joline, Kia & Ellie. Also survived by Tina, Stephen, Paula, Jamie, Jacqui, Julie, Sally, Libby, Ginny, Chris, Jimmy, Jean, Billy & Ann.
Special thanks from the family for the overwhelming care, compassion and support from Dr. Latosinsky, Dr. Chawla and his staff, Dr. Sondhi and the staff at VON and CCAC.
A memorial service will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. Interment of ashes will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
