BEAMAN, MIKE - The death of LCol (Ret’d) Michael Angus Beaman, CD, age 67, husband of Gaynel (McAskill) Beaman, of Norton, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on April 1, 2012. He was born on December 24, 1944, in Little River, Albert County, NB, the son of the late Angus and Patricia (Geldart) Beaman. He is survived by his wife Gaynel; daughter Katharine Beaman of Halifax, NS; son Robert and his wife Natalie Beaman of Saint John, NB; grandchildren Michal, Evelyn, Adrien; sister Judith and her husband Hugh Wilson of Riverview, NB; two nieces; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be especially missed by his cousin, Cyril, who was more like a brother to him.
The family will receive visitors at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm, with a Legion Tribute starting at 6 pm. A Celebration Service of Mike’s life, conducted by Pastor Wayne Murphy, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel, at 11:00 am, on Thursday, April 5, 2012, followed by a reception at the Norton Legion. A private family interment will take place later in Riverbank Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Mike, may be made to the 8th Hussars Museum in Sussex, Canadian Cancer Society or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
