HOME, SHIRLEE MARIE - The passing for Shirlee “Shir” Marie (Johnstone) Home of Fredericton, NB occurred on Saturday, April 07, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 19, 1942 in Lyttleton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Eliza Johnstone. Shirlee was a member of Devon Park Baptist Church, the I.O.D.E Sir Howard Douglas and Caleb’s Clan. Shir enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, cooking, knitting and gardening. Shirlee is survived by her son, Kevin Home (Elaine) of Fort McMurray, AB; daughter, Shelley Donahue (Leverne) of Fredericton, NB; sisters, Linda Harvey (Bryce) of Fredericton, NB, Ann Coles (Donald) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Tylor and Bradley Home, Zakery and Noah Donahue; special aunt Katie Bryenton of Tabusintac, NB; sister-in-law, Lorraine Home of Burtts Corner, NB, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, April 09, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Devon Park Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 3 pm with Pastor Terry Woodcock officiating. Interment will take place in the Dayton Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Devon Park Baptist Church, Devon Park Christian School, Chalmers Foundation-Palliative Care Unit or the Dayton Cemetery.
