GALLANT, LOUIS - It is with great sadness that the family of Louis O. Gallant announces his passing, on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the age of 65, at his home at with his family by his side. Born March 19, 1947 in Barachois, Louis was the son of the late Camille and Juliette (Thériault) Gallant. He was employed with Good-Year Canada in Ontario for over 23 years and later moved to N.B. with his family in 1987. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and was passionate for his old time Rock N Roll music. Louis will always be remembered by his wife of 41 years, Gloria (Gaudet) and their daughter, Denise Gallant (Daniel Belliveau). He will also be fondly remembered by his two grandsons: Danen Gallant Belliveau and Dreyden Gallant Belliveau; as well as his two god-children: Jean-Marc and Amanda.
He is also predeceased by a younger brother Regis Gallant.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation however a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 11, at 10:30 a.m., at the Saint-Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac. Donations in memory of Louis can be made to the ALS Society of Canada, Shediac Extra-Mural or to the Shediac Hospice Group.
