Roberta Brown, 72, of Glace Bay, passed away April 7, 2012, at the Glace Bay Hospital with family at her side.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Jenny (Spencer) Miller, and she was a life-long member of Glace Bay Baptist Church. She was also a member of the GMMG and very active in the church. Roberta was known for her baking, crafts and beautiful decorated cakes.
Survived by sons, Bently, British Columbia, J.R., Halifax; daughters, Kim (Joe MacDonald), Glace Bay, Avern (Marty McPhee), Sydney , Sherry, Glace Bay; granddaughter, Sharly; sister, Kaye Chappell, Sydney; brother, Penny (Shirley) Miller; and special companion, Goldie.
Predeceased by her parents and husband, Jimmy.
At Roberta’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place in the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Memorial service will be held at Glace Bay Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 10 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary Dillon officiating. Committal in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens will be at later date.
