It is with deep sadness we announce the death at Souris Hospital of Henry Townshend of Fortune Bridge on Sunday, April 8, 2012, age 87.
Husband of the late Dot (nee Coffin). Loving father of Marilyn Walker, Jackie (Eileen), Wayne (Bonnie). Cherished grandfather of Becky (Jeff Dand), Ellen, Andrew (Kathleen), Jennifer (Chad Robertson), Adam (Marla), Kyle (Amber), Katie (Andrew) and Isaac (Jessica) Townshend. Step grandfather to John (Wendy), Peter (Wendy) Walker and great-grandfather of Jamie and Benny Dand, Rory Robertson and Ali Townshend. Survived by sister-in-law Hazel (Edwin Cook).
Predeceased by parents Charles and Jennie Townshend; son Paul; brother Earl; and son-in-law Tom Walker.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Wednesday morning, April 11, 2012 at the Bay Fortune United Church for funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bay Fortune United Church Cemetery Fund.
