Date de naissance : 8 septembre 1932

Lieu de décès : Nipawin, Saskatchewan, Canada
Date de décès : 8 avril 2012

Patrick was born September 8, 1932 at Medicine Rapids near Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan. His nickname "pâwischik" was derived from his place of birth – “by the fast flowing water and rapids”. Patrick was the eldest son of Joseph and Marguerite Morin from Southend, Sask. and had five brothers and nine sisters. Patrick was a strong role model. Patrick lived with his mom and dad, grandparents and relatives "down below" the White Sand dam and the Reindeer Lake region , participating in a northern traditional life of hunting, fishing and trapping for most of his life, except from 1942-1950 when he attended the Sturgeon Landing Indian Residential School. Patrick married his school sweetheart Adelaide Linklater, July 17, 1954, at Southend. They moved to Pelican Narrows in the 1970’s and raised three children. Patrick worked as a trapper, commercial fisherman, small motor mechanic, line cutter, forest fire fighter and fish plant worker where he was one of the fastest 'splitters' at Kinosao (Co-op Point). Patrick was skilled in woodwork, building log cabins and on small motor mechanics. Following the passing of his wife, Pat resided with Rick and Holly Kaminski in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. He then moved into the Pine View Care Home, also in Nipawin, where he received excellent care and where he made many friends. He passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12 from Reindeer Lake School Gym by Father Mark Blom. Interment will take place in the Southend Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Don Moriarty, Funeral Director
