O’DONNELL, CLARA MILDRED - The passing of Clara Mildred (Lyons) O’Donnell of McNamee, NB, occurred on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Clara (Mom) was predeceased by her husband, Donald Hamilton O’Donnell in July 2006. Born on April 13, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Murdock Lyons and Martha (Price) Lyons. Clara’s career spanned over forty years as an elementary school teacher in central New Brunswick. She was very well respected by her colleagues and students. She was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church in Carroll’s Crossing, NB. Clara is survived by one son, Barry (Linda) O’Donnell of Fredericton, NB; one daughter, Moyra (Fred Englehart) O’Donnell of Fredericton, NB; one grandson, Michael (Jennifer) O’Donnell of Darien, CT; two granddaughters, Julie O’Donnell of New York, NY and Sherry Stewart (Reno Rossignol) of Oshawa, ON; five great grandchildren, Reilly and Christopher Rossignol, Maggie, Christopher and Anna O’Donnell; three brothers, Haviland (Yvonne), Kenneth (Minnie) and Dale (Wenda) Lyons; two sisters, Muriel Young of Prince George, BC and Joyce Parker of Carrolls Crossing, NB; sisters-in-law, Erma and Jean O’Donnell both of McNamee, NB, Bertha (Ray) Parker of Fredericton, NB, Marilyn Lyons of Fredericton, NB, Lila Lyons of Ludlow, NB and Geraldine MacDonald of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Clara was predeceased by brothers, Harley and Clements Lyons; infant sister, Donna and infant brother, Scottie; brothers in law, Patrick, Basil, Victor and Roy O’Donnell, Guy Young, Murray Hovey, Alan Parker and Richard MacDonald .
Visitation will be at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8 Hwy, New Bandon, NB on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St. James’ Anglican Church, Ludlow, NB on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 2 pm with The Rev. Dr. Brian Spence officiating. Interment will take place in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Carrolls Crossing, NB. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. John’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
