The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her family at the Souris Hospital on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, of Bernetta Mahar (nee McCormack), formerly of New Zealand. Wife of Mortimer Reginald Mahar, in her 88th year. Beloved mother of Beverly (Carl) Johnston of Hopewell Cape, New Brunswick. Survived by brother Carl (Auxelia) McCormack of Lachine, Quebec, and sister-in-law Katherine McCormack of Berwick, Nova Scotia. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Roy McCormack.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Thursday, April 26, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Friday afternoon, April 27, 2012, to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Souris for funeral mass to be celebrated at 2 p.m. Interment in St. Alexis Cemetery in Rollo Bay.
