SORENSON: Garry Peter was born on October 18, 1951 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan to Knute and Beatrice Sorenson of Webb, Saskatchewan. Garry got his education at the Webb School and went to work at the age of 16 for his father with a Federal Grain repair crew, where he worked until Federal sold out to Pool in the fall 1971. He then worked briefly on a service rig in Alberta, he came back to Saskatchewan to work with his brother, Arnold and work for United Grain Growers. He married his wife Rosemary (Mulhall) on September 9, 1972 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. In 1973 he changed jobs and started working with the RM of Webb as a patrol operator. In 1979, he partnered with his brothers in J-WAG Construction. One of their first contracts was the building of the old skating rink in Webb. They also did a lot of contract work for elevator companies all over South West Saskatchewan and South East Alberta. While in Webb, he coached ball and played on the Webb 1\'s Broomball and Softball teams. In 1983, due to the changes with the elevator companies, J-WAG decided to call it quits and Garry took a job with the RM of Riverside. In 1984, he took a job with the RM of Pittville moving his family to Hazlet, Saskatchewan. While in Hazlet he was on the Village Council and the local Legion. He enjoyed the stock car races, the curling rink, the Hazlet Elks, playing cards, fishing, wood working and spending time with his grandchildren, but most of all he enjoyed visiting.

He is survived by his wife Rosemary (Mulhall), his son Mathew Sorenson, his daughter-in-law Feona (Brodie) and their children Acacia, Caine and McCoy.
