BROWN, Gertrude Elizabeth (nee Nugent) – Passed away at home in Springfield, Mass., on 18 April 2012, aged 74. Born in St. John’s on 7 December 1937, Gert lived in Springfield since 1968. Predeceased by parents Katherine and Michael Nugent and brothers: William and Terrence of St. John’s and Michael of Montreal. Mourned by her sister Mary FitzGerald and brother Paul of St. John’s, and brother Jack and sister-in-law Linda of Montreal; by children: Catherine Ryan of Colchester, CT. and Brenda, Derek and Anthony Brown and daughter-in-law Sharon Swinton of Springfield and by eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
