William Melvin Day

William Melvin Day (75) of Debert, NS (formerly of Brantford, ONT), passed away peacefully at the Colchester Regional Hospital on Monday, April. 30. Born in Cape Breton, he was the son of Neil and Thelma Daye. Predeceased by brothers Percy and George. He is survived by sisters; Theresa, Mayna and Bea, his brother Neil and his two sons James and Derek Day, and granddaughter Erin, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. He worked for years as a truck driver after retiring from the military. He enjoyed fishing, travelling and spending time with his family. Cremation has taken place; a graveside service is to be held in Chimney Corner, Cape Breton in late July. A reception will be held Saturday, May 5 from 6:30-9:00pm at Sherlock’s Piano Bar at the Best Western Glengarry on Willow Street in Truro.
