CAISSIE, IRÈNE - Irène Caissie, 94, of Manoir Notre-Dame in Moncton, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital. Born March 4, 1918 in Scoudouc, she was the daughter of the late Jacques and Marie-Rose (Landry) Cormier. She is survived by two daughters: Alma LeBlanc (Clarence) and Angela LeBlanc (Harry), both of Moncton; two sons: Roger “Fido” (Andréa) of North Attleboro, MA, and Vincent (Thérèse) of Moncton, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Fidèle (1983); two sisters: Dora and Yvonne; nine brothers: Edmond, Emerie, Clarence, Aurèle, Gérard, Aquila, Gilbert, Alyre and Roméo. The family wishes to offer their sincere gratitude towards the Moncton Hospital palliative care unit for their wonderful care provided to our mother.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton, on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Irène, a contribution to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
