Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, on Sunday, May 6th, 2012, in the presence of his loving family, Kelvin P. Barrett, PEng., at the age of 81 years. Left with precious memories, his wife and best friend Mary, and sons David and his wife Wanda and Strat and his wife Christine. Poppy will be lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren, Stratford, Matthew, Cole, and Tate. Kelvin will be sorely missed by siblings, Joan O’Neil (Louis) of Jacksonville, FL; Connie Dennis (Rick) of Saranac Lake, NY and Donald Barrett (Sheila) of Paradise, NL and by Mary’s siblings Len Pike (Melba) of Eastport and Joan Farnham of Florida; as well as other family and friends. Predeceased by sister, Alison Finnemore. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd., St. John’s on Thursday, May 10th, 2012, 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. on Friday May 11th, 2012, at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, 1 Westerland Rd., St. John’s.
