November 10, 1924 - May 7, 2012. Passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012, at Placentia Health Centre, John F. Ryan, formerly of Presque, Placentia Bay, age 87 years. Predeceased by his parents Martin and Lucy Ryan, brother Martin Jr., and sister Lucy. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are wife Winnifred (nee Gambin) of 54 years; sister-in-law Bertha Pitcher (husband Garfield); brothers-in-law: Kyran Gambin (wife Madeline) and Patrick Gambin (wife Marina); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia, with visitation on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m-5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 11:00 a.m. on May 9, 2012, at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery in Southeast, Placentia.
