Date de décès : 5 mai 2012

LeBLANC, Esther Marie – 82, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 5 2012, following a brief illness. Born to parents Levi and Emily (Amirault) Cottreau in Boston, Mass., Esther followed her mother’s footsteps in becoming a dedicated Registered Nurse who gave over forty years of service to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Her creative and artistic talents were evident in her many hobbies. She was an artisan – her tiny hands never idle. Whether with a paintbrush, needle or hook, she created beautiful art that she happily shared. Her fingers flew across piano and organ keys to make the music she was best known for. Esther was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Parish and will be fondly remembered as having been the organist for the Knights of Columbus choir. She also played for many weddings, funerals and at local nursing homes. Esther’s gentle spirit, generosity of self and unconditional love were gifts that have profoundly shaped her family’s lives. Her intelligence, wise advice and sympathetic ear will be greatly missed. She was treasured. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Edgar J. LeBlanc, their two children, Carol (Gary) Crosby, Wellington, and Charles (Gina) LeBlanc, Toronto, as well as by grandchildren Lauren, Eric and Christian, sister Madelyn Moffat, Fort Myers, Florida, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Yvonne d’Entremont and her parents. Visitation took place from 7-9 p.m. Monday, with prayers at 8 p.m., both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 8 at St. Ambrose Cathedral, Albert St., Yarmouth, Father John MacPherson officiating. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the Knights of Columbus (Council 2181) or the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation or, in memory of Esther’s compassionate heart, do something caring for another.
