The death occurred peacefully at his late residence on Friday, May 11, 2012 of Basil Joseph MacIsaac of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 72 years.
Basil was born on January 27, 1940 in Munns Road, P.E.I., to his late parents Joseph and Laurena (nee Jarvis) MacIsaac. Beloved husband of Darlene MacLaurin (nee Murray) and loving step-father of Robert of Summerside, companion to Bear and Mia (his K9 family) and father of Jane (Robert Gaudet) of Tignish, Shannon (Lloyd Napolian), Darren (Doreen) MacIsaac, all of N.S.; and Lisa MacIsaac of Charlottetown. Survived by his brothers and sisters Shirley (Harold) Martin of Summerside, Lauretta (Tom) Martin of Kensington, David (Anne) MacIsaac and Charlie (Nina) MacIsaac, all of Tyne Valley. Also lovingly remembered by his 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Basil was predeceased by his son Kenneth Joseph in infancy and his sister Jean Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Monday, May 14, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in Victoria West People's Cemetery.
Visiting hours on Sunday evening only 7-9 p.m.
