The death occurred peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Friday, May 11, 2012, of Barbara Jean Eye (Pineau), formerly of Hunter River and Halifax, N.S., aged 49 years. Barbara was born on Aug. 27, 1962, in Halifax, N.S., to her late parents George and Dorothy (nee Guild) Eye. Beloved wife of Philip Pineau. Survived by her sister Jane Eye of Nine Mile River, N.S., mother and father-in-law Marion and Vernon Pineau of Summerside, brothers-in-law Stephen (Trish) Pineau, Jim (Michele) Pineau, Corey Pineau; sisters-in-law Lana (Brian) Parker and Karen Townshend. Also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, for a visitation on Tuesday evening only, 6-9. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 17, at St. David’s Presbyterian Church, 1537 Brunswick St., Halifax, N.S., at 2 p.m. Memorial donations in Barbara’s memory to the P.E.I.
