He leaves to mourn his loving family: children: Donna (Jim) Chalker, Denise (David) Mercer and Duane Smith; grandchildren: Jamie (Janine), Jennifer (Brad), Jessica, Vanessa, Andrew and Nathan; great-grandchildren: Brooke and Ryan; mother-in-law Mary Crane; brothers and sisters: Muriel (Clyde), Ray (Mildred), Joyce (Albert) and Randell (Betty); brothers and sisters-in-law: Edward (Rosiland), Harold (Ann), Nathan (May), Calvin (Joyce), Randell (Millie), Joan (Alvin), Gertie (Roger), Janice (Tony), Betty (Ron), Claudine (Don) and Diane (Terry); and a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by wife Mildred Smith; parents John & Gladys Smith; father-in-law George Crane. The funeral service will take place at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upper Island Cove, on Saturday, May 12, 2012, 2 p.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Cranes Road, Upper Island Cove, on Friday from 10 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Donald N.
