C. "Wilfred" Dennis
At Community Hospital, O’Leary, on Friday, May 18, 2012, of C. “Wilfred” Dennis, veteran of the Second World War, O’Leary, aged 89, husband of the late Isabelle (Yeo) Dennis.
Born in Unionvale on May 21, 1922, son of the late Charles and Dot (Pate) Dennis. Dear father to Dottie (Bill), Cornwall; Alfred (Marlene), New Haven; Carter (Myrna), St. Martin, N.B.; Rhoda (Hal), Keswick, ON.; Carla (David), Calgary and daughter-in-law Natalie Dennis, Cornwall. Loving grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Wilfred is also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law: Alvin (Fairley) Yeo, Knutsford; Laura Ramsay, O’Leary; Lillas (Peter) Reid, Norton, N.B.; and Beryl (George) Shelfoon, Red Deer, AB. Predeceased by his parents, wife Isabelle, January 29, 2003, son Stephen, daughter-in-law Gloria, brother Alfred and sister Jeannette.
Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Wednesday in the chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.
