Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Sunday, May 20, 2012, Margaret Jean Grimes of Little Bay Islands, Green Bay, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents: Harvey and Amelia Pomeroy; step-father: Daniel Eastman and brother: Ernie. Left to mourn, husband: Ronald; one daughter: Florence (Bruce) Jenkins, Springdale; five sons: Frank (Gertrude), Carbonear, Dennis (Barbara), Little Bay Islands, Ronald (Donna), Flowers Cove, Ernie (Surina), St. John’s and Daniel (Charlene), Harbour Grace South; daughter-in-law: Juanita Grimes, Springdale; nine grandchildren: Patti-Lynn (Richard), Tara, Jennifer, Nicole (Brent), Peter (Jackie), Christopher (Nikki), Chad (Ashley), Wayne (Amy) and Noah; four great-grandchildren: Joshua, Kaitlyn, Keenan and Brea; one brother: Roy (Neta) Pomeroy, Lewisporte; three sisters: Mollie (Frank) Janes, Embree, Glenys (Ted) Northcott, Appleton and Barbara Pomeroy, St. John’s; sister-in-law: Yvette Boone, La Scie; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Tuesday, May 22 at Noel's Memorial Chapel, Water Street, Carbonear. Interment was in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
